Every hotel or guest house can easily call a taxi for you
quickly. A taxi from the city center to the university is about
£6 and is about a 10 minute ride. Split between 2 or more people, it
costs roughly the same as a bus ticket.
Cycling is the quickest and most convenient way to get around
Swansea University has an initiative called BayCycle where
conference delegates can rent a bike for free. See the BayCycles web page for more information.
The Bike Hub
rents bikes for about £10/day. If you tell
Nick and Chris (who run the shop) that you're friends with
Bob you can probably negotiate a multi-day package
deal. Google "bike rental swansea" and "cycle hire
swansea" for more options.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk from the city center to the
university. Only about 20 minutes along the coast.
